Congratulations to Engy Ahmed and Barbara Wohlfarth who were granted SciLifeLab Bioinformatics Long-term Support

This support will be of great benefit for Engy's and Barbara's current project which is focused on retrieving and analysing ancient DNA in 13,000 year old lake sediments. The granted SciLifeLab Bioinformatics long-term support means that the huge metagenomics DNA data set can now be evaluated with the best possible bioinformatics knowledge.

The ancient DNA project had to compete with 41 other applications from different Swedish universities and only two projects from Stockholm University were ranked among the highest in the scientific evaluation process and thus granted support.
