Photo Karin NylundThis is the sixth consecutive year that the Swedish Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation and Ministry of Foreign Affaires (Närings- och Utrikesdepartementen i samarbete med Svenska institutet) in collaboration with the Swedish Institute arranges the award ceremony "Global Swede". This award recognizes international college students in Sweden who have distinguished themselves in fields closely related to innovation and entrepreneurship.

IGV's master student Jonathan Hamisi, who is from The Democratic Republic of the Congo, was Stockhom University's representative.

State Secretary Oscar Stenström, together with the Swedish Institute Director General Annika Rembe handed out diplomas to 22 students from 17 different countries currently studying at 22 different universities in Sweden. The ceremony took place May 18 at the Foreign Ministry.
