The course covers preparation and measurement methods of isotopes including data reduction, distribution of light stable and radiogenic isotopes in nature, changes in isotope values over geologic time scales in some important reservoirs (e.g., sulfur in seawater), mixing models, and an orientation in some applications in geochemistry, petrology and biology.

Admission requirements

Knowledge equivalent to a bachelor degree whereof at leat 90 credits in Geoscience, Geology, Geochemistry or Chemistry are included.The requirements can also be met by anyone who has acquired the equivalent knowledge or experience in any other way, in or outside the country. English B or comparable.
