Research and Project Planning in Geological Sciences

Students will critique research literature and research proposals to learn how to organize realistic project plans. A field trip to an international geoscience meeting exposes students to current research. The grade is based on the student’s own research proposal, and reviews of other proposals.

Admission requirements

Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor of Science degree, which includes at least 90 credits in geology or geoscience, as well as knowledge on at least two of the three subject-specific courses (Petrotectonics 7,5 credits/Biogeochemistry 7,5 credits/Paleoceanography and paleoclimatology I 7,5 credits) from the master's programme in Geological sciences. English B or equivalent.
